The school has an active career center that offers a multitude of resources including the opportunity for students to conduct online video chats and practice job interviews with business professionals. There are also opportunities for them to go on road trips to different types of businesses to learn first-hand how they operate and the jobs they have to offer.

Mill Woods is the largest and most heavily used park in town. It hosts a wide variety of activities including a public swimming pond, hiking trails, bocce court, skate park, tennis courts, picnic pavilion, playscape and dog park.

People might think that police work in a town the size of Cromwell is boring. That would be a faulty conclusion. The men and women of the Cromwell Police Department keep busy every day and night answering emergency calls, patrolling the streets and otherwise doing everything they can to keep things safe and quiet.

Walk into Beyoglu Market and it quickly becomes apparent that this is not a typical grocery store. Most of the cans and packages are labeled in Turkish. There are fresh fruits not usually found in other stores such as pomegranates. The place exudes the feel of Turkey, the historic crossroads between Europe and Asia.

Folks who have lived in town for a while will remember an annual event called the Riverport Festival. It was an opportunity for the entire community to come together and share town spirit.

Art students at Cromwell High School took a short bus ride to Covenant Living of Cromwell to meet with an older generation that shares the same interest in visual art. It just might be the start of a longer-running collaboration.
