By day, Lynne Stahl is a research librarian at Wesleyan University. In her off hours, you can find her playing fullback for the Hartford Wild Roses Women's Rugby Club. And while you might not hear a lot about women’s rugby, the club is no newcomer. This year, The Roses are celebrating their 50th anniversary as a continuously operating club.

Matthew Fletcher was born to play baseball. As a child, he circled the bases a lot, moving from town to town including Stamford, Trumbull, Fairfield – and Glastonbury twice – until coming to Wethersfield in 2015.

If there is a pot of gold inside a soccer goal post, Cara Jordan just scored it. The 2019 Cromwell High School valedictorian is now playing professionally for the Sligo Rovers in Ireland.

At 6'8", Connor Harris is the tallest player in Banana Ball, not counting the guy who plays on stilts. Banana Ball is baseball with the bunts, mound visits and other boring parts replaced with choreographed dances, trick plays and fan participation (if a fan catches a foul ball, the batter is out). Last year they sold out two games at Fenway Park, two more at Yankee Stadium, and filled many other major league ballparks along with some football stadiums. There's a very long wa
