The third annual Glastonbury Pride, a day fostering equity, inclusion and celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community in town and beyond, will take place June 14.

At last year’s Glastonbury Pride organizers were “truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support” with an estimated 3,000 attendees “joining us to celebrate love, diversity, and community.”

“This event is more than a celebration,” said Anthony DiLizia, co-founder and board president. “It is a visible statement that LGBTQIA+ residents, families, and youth belong in our community. We are grateful to our title sponsor, Circle Care Center, and to all of the partners and volunteers helping to make this year’s event our strongest yet.”

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hubbard Green on the corner of Main Street and Hubbard Street.

“We are pleased to announce that we will have an even greater variety of vendors, more food trucks and family fun for all,” said Jess Thompson, committee chair of Glastonbury Pride.

Entertainment will feature DJ Joey Stache, drag icon Angel Rivers and an outstanding slate of performers. With more than 80 vendors in attendance, there will be games and activities for children, craft booths, unique items for sale, community groups, and several food trucks.

“The many new and returning sponsors demonstrate the broad community support and allows us to plan for an expanded list of events throughout the year,” said Katie Thompson, committee chair of Glastonbury Pride.

According to Glastonbury Pride, sponsorships are instrumental in:

Promoting understanding and acceptance while addressing challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community.

Growing attendance, programming, and engagement so we can inspire more people and create a space where everyone feels they belong.
