With moments that ranged from a soul-stirring “Call Him Up” by the Gertrude Banks Gospel Choir to a reflective version of U2’s MLK from Combined Ensembles, Simsbury High School’s Choral Collage was pure musical bliss.

On April 1, the School’s Music and Performing Arts Department presented the concert, which featured the Simsbury Singers, Treble Choir, Tenor & Bass Choir, Chamber Choir, Vox Nova, No Fella A Cappella, The Gertrude Banks Gospel Choir, Unaccompanied Minors and Andiamo.

In addition to music, various numbers were augmented with sign language, choreography, spoon playing, a string quartet and a few theatrics.

Among the leaders for the evening were:

• Director: Mrs. Rebecca Saltzman

• Student Teacher: Mr. Christopher Powers

• Collaborative Pianist: Mr. Robert Tomasulo

• Lighting and Sounds: Ms. Kendra Jones and

Mr. Dan Kovel

• Gospel Band: Callum Joeckel and Idhant Shenvi Kuvelkar

• Gospel Band Leader: Brother Paul Cameron
