Each year Mock Trial Team students at Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford argue a legal case to compete with other teams in front of real judges. The competition represents months of work because each student team must argue against both sides of a case (prosecution and defense) as attorneys and witnesses.

The Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce will celebrate a decade of collaboration and growth - with more than 580 members from Glastonbury, East Hartford Marlborough and Hebron - at the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Hangar Museum in East Hartford March 3.

As Michael Camilleri was approaching graduation from Trinity College, he was reluctant to enter law school and considered getting a master’s in business instead. He attended a career fair at Trinity and, after speaking with a judge for several hours, left the fair with a recommendation for UConn Law.

Literacy is considered a key component of early education so it was no surprise that Edna C. Stevens School hosted a Literacy Night the evening of Feb. 6.

Kimberly Roy has faith in her abilities, her business and her beliefs. Just a few months ago, the owner of the Cromwell Country Store held a re-grand opening of her second business located at 322 Main St., an extension of her first venture, the Walk by Faith Doggie Bakery.
