12 Goodwin University’s 12th annual Summer Clambake and Auction, one of the school's signature scholarship fundraising events for students with demonstrated financial need at 6:30 p.m. Guests will gather to enjoy a lobster feast including classic New England chowder and a raw bar provided by Flanders Fish Market and Restaurant of East Lyme. 15 CT Museum presents: A history of LGBTQ Connecticut from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riverfront Community Center. Throughout its history, Connecticut’s LGBTQ community has moved from living largely hidden lives to claiming visible, valued roles in society. Explore this journey through stories of oppression and resilience, as well as moments of tragedy and triumph. This presentation will highlight how attitudes, laws, and communities have evolved over time, and the individuals who helped pave the way toward greater understanding and equality.
